Research interests
History of Philosophy (Western European, Russian), philosophical anthropology, the history of European philosophical mysticism, comparative studies in the history of philosophy, the theory of tradition, systems theory.

Publications and scientific achievements
More than a hundred scientific papers, including monographs on the history of philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophical anthropology, philosophy of religion, monographs (in collaboration) management education. The author of 10 publications in European and American magazines on humanitarian themes. Under the supervision of A. Fedorov 7 PhD theses were defended and 8 research projects within grant programs were successfully carried out.

Biographical information:
  • Born on October 8, 1970 in the city of Semenov of Nizhny Novgorod region.
  • 1988-89 served in the Soviet military.
  • 1995 graduated from the Faculty of History of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod in the specialty "historian, teacher of social studies", took up a post graduate course at Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University.
  • 1998 defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences.
  • 2003 defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
  • From 2003 to 2004 - Deputy Dean, head of the Philosophy Department NSPU.
  • From 2004 to 2007 - Dean of the philosophical and theological faculty NSPU, professor of philosophy.
  • From 2007 to 2009 - Vice-Rector of NSPU, professor of philosophy.
  • From June 2009 to October 2011 served as rector of Volga State Engineering and Pedagogical University.
  • After the merger with VGIPU NSPU (October 2011) worked as the acting First Vice-Rector NSPU.
  • April 2012 elected as the rector of NSPU.
  • 2007 and 2010 received honorary diplomas from Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, in 2011 – received a letter of thanks fom the governor of Nizhny Novgorod region.
  • 2009 - received an honorary diploma of the Federal Chancellor of Germany, in 2008 - an honorary diploma, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and a number of other public awards. Since 2010, the winner of the federal project "Personnel Reserve - Professional Team of the Country". A member of the Academy of Humanities at the University of Münster.
  • 2012 - 2013 – has undergone the program of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, a program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on Strategic Management of educational systems "New leaders of higher education"
  • 2015 - Member of the Coordinating Council in the field of education "Education and pedagogical sciences" (approved by the order of Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation of 22.12.2014 № 1605).
