August, 13 – 27 Interdisciplinary Summer School «Minins Sommerschule - 2016» for German students took place at Minin University as a part of «Go East» programme, DAAD fund.Students from different German universities studied the following modules: the compulsory module - «Russian as a foreign language and a language of international communication» and two optional modules: «Liberal Arts» and «Natural Sciences», which included 4 subjects. The students also got acquainted with traditions and culture of Nizhny Novgorod region.

On classes of Russian students broadened their knowledge of the Russian language and Russian culture quite extensively and improved their communication skills.

The participants of the programme visited historic cultural monuments and natural sites of our region, got acquainted with the architecture, main sights and traditions of Nizhny Novgorod region. The students also visited The Town of Craftsmen in Gorodets and Lake Klyuchik, admired the nature and tasted Russian national dishes, which were cooked on fire.

All studenst got certificates of Summer School that prove acquiring 5 credits.

This is the second Summer School held at Minin University which means students highly evaluate what they learn and see both in Nizhny Novgorod and at University and we expect more students to join us next summer!
