In October, the Department of foreign language professional communication of Minin University and the Department of German studies of the University of Braunschweig (Germany) signed a cooperation agreement. The objectives of the agreement are effective academic cooperation, scientific and cultural exchange. Minin University and the University of Braunschweig seek to establish direct contact between students and staff of these departments. The agreement provides for joint work of universities in the following areas:
- student exchange for training and research;
- academic exchange for research, lectures and discussions;
- joint research;
- organization and participation in lectures, seminars and conferences.
The cooperation agreement with the University of Braunschweig was a continuation of the joint work of the two universities. In April 2018, the University of Braunschweig co-organized The international scientific-practical conference "Scientific discussion: issues of Philology and methods of teaching foreign languages", held at Minin University. In the framework of the conference of the scientific staff of the Department of Germanic studies at the Braunschweig University of Edelev, Yu. and K. Vidler held for teachers and educators seminar on teaching the German language. In September 2018, Minin University together with the University of Braunschweig became the organizer of the Summer school "Linguistic theories in teaching a second foreign language" in Braunschweig. Minin University was represented by the staff of the Department of foreign language professional communication. For five days within the framework of the summer school there were presentations of dissertation research of graduate students, master classes and sectional presentations.
