Minin University held meetings of students from the Faculty of Humanities with Dr. Bernd Rüschoff, Professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany). Modern paradigms and digital tools in language education were the topics of lectures and workshops.

Digital technologies are now seen as important and useful tools for language education. At the same time, the question remains how these tools can be used to provide a basis for innovative, flexible, and productive learning scenarios in a language audience in the context of global digitalization.

Students were able to comprehend the current paradigms of language teaching and learning which includes socio-cultural approaches, competence orientation, as well as authenticity, result orientation and learning based on educational objectives.

Professor Dr. Bernd Rüschoff introduced an updated the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR-RV) of the Council of Europe, in which the main emphasis is on additional descriptors associated with the development of interactive communication and digital literacy of students.

Nicomachea Olga, the student of 1 course (group, MPI-18-1), shared her impressions from a series of lectures.
