More than 50 teachers from the universities of Russia, the USA, France, Germany, Canada, Malta, Spain, and Greece became participants of the international summer school. Minin University was represented by the delegation of teachers of foreign-language professional communication department.
The Festival of student associations of Minin University was held on September 3, 2018, where first-year students and guests were able to get acquainted with the branches of extracurricular activities of Minin University students.
The training took place in August 2018. The Education University of Hong Kong is a partner of Minin University. It is one of the strongest universities in the world; it ranks 2nd in Asia and 9th in the world among pedagogical universities (QS World University Ranking by subject 2018). The topics of the Summer School were "Academic Writing" and "Research Methodology".
It is the fifth year when the Minin university conducts advanced training courses for teachers from China. This time, following the tradition, the representatives from Anhui Normal University had an intensive business and cultural program.
During the 10 days of their visit, the students visited the museums of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region; they took part in workshops and lessons in Chinese and Russian together with the students of Minin University.
Today, August 5, an opening ceremony was held at Minin University to give a start to training courses for Chinese teachers and students who came from Anhui Normal University (ANU) to exchange experiences.
More than 300 participants from more than 20 universities of China, Russia, the USA, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Japan took part in the event. Russia was represented by a delegation of teachers from Minin University.
The entire academic year 2017-2018 the students of the Minin University of the Faculty of Humanities (department of English language + Chinese language) were on the training program at Shandong Polytechnic University (China). Anastasia Koroleva, a third-year student of English and Chinese Department, shared her impressions about the University and studies in China.
Margarita Antonova received a scholarship to study at the Karoli Gaspar University of the Reformed Church in Budapest, Hungary. The scholarship covers the costs of tuition and accommodation.
Students of Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after Kozma Minin were the first to initiate organizing tours around the city in English, the idea being shared by other organizations. In total, more than 200 foreign football fans from 14 countries of the world took part in the tours.
Based on the agreement with the Philology Department Olga Mironova performed lectures and practical lessons on the topics ‘Russian traditions and culture’, ‘Russian holidays’. The lectures were conducted from June 12th to June 14th.
Fulbright «English Teaching Assistant Program» gives an opportunity to help young graduates from American colleges and universities in teaching English in a number of regional Russian universities, as well as to advance their own knowledge concerning the Russian language and culture. The scope of responsibilities of those participating in the program includes teaching English language and American culture.
Denis Kulikov is a second-year student of the Humanities Faculty, majoring in ‘Foreign Language (English) and Foreign Language (Chinese)’. He shared with us the way he started learning Chinese, why he’d decided to submit an application as well as his plans for the future.
A series of events was held on May, 19-20th in the town of Wuhu (Anhui province, PRC) and was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Anhui State Pedagogical University (ASPU, China). The forums were devoted to the questions concerning education, advancing partnership development in the sphere of higher education on the international arena. Minin University took on the role of a co-organiser together with Chinese partners from ASPU.
The aim of Minin University participation is to learn more about the work of universities with foreign students as well as represent Minin University and find partners both in Russia and abroad.
Minin University hosted a delegation from Shandong University of Technology with vice-president Yi Yuchen as a head of delegation. The memorandum between the universities was signed in June, 2017.
The forum took place on April 17-20 within the opening ceremony of hi-tech Russian-Chinese park "Silk Road" in Xian, PRC. Minin University was one of 18 Russian universities taking part in the event.
Minin University has signed a new strategic cooperation agreement with a renowned Indonesian higher education institution: Diponegoro University in Semarang. The cooperation will include the following areas: pursuing joint research, promoting academic mobility of faculty, undegraduate and graduate students as well as their joint scientific supervision.
The universities also discussed plans for future collaboration.
Minin University placed 232nd in the overall rankings. In the urban universities division, Minin took 102nd place out of 313 universities and in the European universities competition, it ranked 94th out of 216 universities.
